Counties across the region have been seeing major growth in testing numbers since August.

November saw a major increase in Covid-19 PCR testing in the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

According to new figures from the Department of Health, over 41,000 tests were carried out at centres locally.

Testing infrastructure has been under severe pressure over the last week according to the HSE, with cases now stabilizing at a high rate.
