Maintenance works to reopen the public toilet in Longford Town are expected to begin next week.
In a statement to Shannonside FM news, Longford County Council confirmed the public convenience on the Market Square was hit by a crane, with the roof and structure badly damaged. The toilet had to be taken out of service as a result. The council has confirmed the maintenance contractor and owner of the facility has made arrangements for repair, which are scheduled for February 28th.
The toilet is expected to be back in operation following the repairs.
