Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road crash near Ballinasloe claimed the lives of four people
The M6 between Junctions 14 and 15 in both directions remain closed as a technical examination of the scene takes place.
This incident occurred at Poolboy, around 2km outside Ballinasloe at around 7.40pm last night.

Their bodies taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe for a post-mortem at a later date.
A fifth person is believed to have been taken to hospital, however their condition is unknown.
The M6 is closed in both direction between Junction 14 and 15 on the M6 for a forensic examination to take place and local diversions are in place.
Anyone who was on the road around the time of the incident or has dashcam footage is being asked to contact Gardaí in Ballinasloe.]
