Longford youth courses threatened by theft of computers

A well-known Longford youth organisation may not be able to run planned classes for young people this September following recent serious burglaries.

Over 20 computer laptops and cameras were stolen from Attic House on the outskirts of Longford Town in recent weeks.

The equipment is used for running regular online courses for a number of young people and it’s not known at this stage whether the classes will be able to go ahead in some weeks’ time’.

Ruth McGarry Quinn from Attic House says today is the last day of their summer programmes, and they had hoped to be running the usual booked out courses for young people when school starts up again in September.
