Police in the US are investigating the death of a Longford woman in New York following an alleged violent attack yesterday.
The woman has been named by NYPD, as Sarah McNally, who sources have confirmed is from Longford town
The woman in her early 40s; worked in the city over the last 10-years and was originally from the Longford Town area.
It's understood she was the victim of an attack at the Ceile House Bar in Maspeth, Queens yesterday evening.
The Longford woman was transferred to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens with a stab wound; after she was discovered by Emergency Services responding to reports of an alleged assault.
She later passed away from her wound.
A man was also taken to the hospital with reported stab wounds to his neck and back.
An investigation by the 104th Precenct of the NYPD is ongoing.
