Longford publican fears rural bars may not thrive new Covid rules

There is still no information on if it will be table service or if you can prop up the bar.

A Longford publican says they are still awaiting full clarity on what they will be allowed to do when re-opening to customer snext week.

Indoor dining can resume on Monday for people who are fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid.

President Michael D Higgins signed the legislation into law earlier today.

Time limits for customers will be lifted and restaurants and pubs will close at 11:30pm.

Gerry Lynn is chair of the Longford Vintners Federation.

He says the fine details on what customers will experience has yet to be revealed :
