A snapshot of Lough Ree was the overall winning photo at a national photography competition. Lanesborough-based photographer, Lee Williamson, took the photo when he was strolling along the banks of Lough Ree.
The birds-eye-view photo captures a fishing boat gliding through dark green waters, wading through the leafy flora of the lake. Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Lee explained how he entered the photo into the competition:
