A Longford man is exploring 30 counties in November to raise funds for suicide prevention and to remember his younger brother

A Longford man is spending the month of November travelling around 30 counties in 30 days in memory of his young brother.

John McCord lost his younger brother Andrew ,who was 18, to suicide last year.

He says he travelled with a group of his friends after his brother's death to raise funds for suicide prevention, but this year he decided to do something different that would allow him pay tribute to Andrew in the process.

John says Andrew was always daring people to do something ridiculous, and he used this as motivation for his journeys this month.

He's also attempting to grow a moustache as part of Movember.

The Longford man says he wants to help stop so many people dying too young, and he's hoping to have conversations about mental health during some of the trips this month.
