Longford house prices rise by 15% in the last year

The latest house price information released by Daft.ie shows the largest increases were in parts of Leinster, with Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Longford recording hikes of more than 15 per cent

House prices in County Longford have jumped 15 per cent in the last year according new figures from Daft.ie.

The figures are part of the property websites Q1 house price report and shows that prices across the Shannonside region have risen over the past 12 months.

The national average listing price of a property in Ireland Stands at €275,751.

In Longford, the average price has jumped almost 16 per cent, with the average property listing for sale at €156,658.

Cavan has recorded the next largest increase in year on year prices with properties being sold for over €162,000, an increase of 4.2 percent.

Roscommon has seen house prices rise to almost €151,000 for the average property listing.

In Leitrim, the average house price has stayed much the same as Q1 2020 with properties being listed for €132,977 on average, a jump of less than 1 percent.
