The morale of people sticking to health restrictions across the midlands has taken a major hit following reports of a large house party raided by Gardai in Longford town on Friday.
That's according to local Councillor Gerry Warnock who says the blatant breach of Covid-19 restrictions at the weekend will cause more damage than just the risk of transmitting the virus among those attending.
A man was arrested and a large number of fixed penalty notices were issued after Gardaí attended the house in the Palace Crescent area of Ardnacassagh.
The Independent Councillor is warning how incidents like this can chip away at the resilience of those struggling during Ireland's third lockdown.
