Gardaí in Longford are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery in the town yesterday.
According to Gardaí, an individual entered a filling station on the Dublin Road shortly after 8am with a suspected firearm.
He's reported to have threatened staff before leaving the premises empty handed on foot.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in or around the Dublin Road and Old Ardnacassa area between 7am and midday, who may have noticed anything suspicious to contact them.
They are asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to make it available to Gardaí.
