Longford GAA buys 32 acres for development of Centre of Excellence

Longford GAA has announced the purchase of 32 acres of land beside their existing headquarters at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

The land was bought at auction yesterday for €1 million euro.

The land is primarily agricultural and is zoned for housing and industrial or commercial use.

Longford GAA says it intends to begin immediately to appoint a design team to progress with plans for the development of the property.

It says the project will serve at a Centre of Excellence for current and future generations of male and female players throughout the county.
