The premiere of an award winning movie from Longford film makers will take place next Friday in local cinemas.
Lakelands is the debut feature of Granard natives Robert Higgins and Patrick McGivney
It centers on a Gaelic footballer coping with the end of his career after sustaining an injury.

The movie has received significant recognition at the Galway Film Fleadh, The IFTAs and the Glasgow Film Festival.
The movie will be released in cinemas on May 5th.
