Meeting the requirements of the new Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme will be one of the topics discussed at a special beef walk in County Longford this evening.
Farmers are being invited to attend the event on the farm of Padraig Gerety in Kenagh at 6:30pm this evening.
It's being organised by Teagasc in association with the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation and Bord Bia.

Other areas up for discussion include maximising suckler cow performance and replacement strategies to improve a herds breeding performance.
