Longford County Council is being asked to clarify traffic management at the Mastertech Business Park turn off on the N63 Athlone road.
When the upgrade to the road was complete after Christmas, markings delineating a yellow box were put in the former slip road into the industrial estate, which also leads to a major housing development.
However, a yield sign remained in place on the footpath until this weekend and motorists are still using the slip road, which is causing many near-collisions for motorists who are making the turn at the junction itself.
