Longford charity worker praises generosity of local people to Ukraine

A Longford charity worker has praised the people of the country for their generosity to the people of Ukraine.

Hilary Robinson, who runs the Hungry horse outside charity delivered the supplies to a station on the Polish/Ukraine border this morning with her daughter Hazel.

She says every available space in the animal transport lorry and trailer was full to the brim after people donated generously last week.

Hilary says while the Polish organisation is very impressive, they are having to deal with a never ending stream of people fleeing across the border on a 24/7 basis.
