Queues are forming outside shops across the Shannonside Northern Sound region, and the country today, as non-essential retail was allowed to open for the first time in 2021.
The latest easing of Covid-19 restrictions is allowing customers without an appointment to go into a store.
Shoppers are being urged to stay patient with staff, follow store rules and practice social distancing.
