A local councillor has described An Post's new business strategy for Roscommon post office as a 'disgraceful decision'. Fianna Fáil councillor Marty McDermott says the closure of the iconic building was a further blow for Roscommon.
He said it would adversely impact on customers, many of whom consider the service as a social hub. Speaking to Shannonside News, Cllr McDermott called on local Oireachtas members to intervene:
