Safe Link, Roscommon's Domestic Abuse service, says there has been an increase of 35% in new clients and an increase of 50% in crisis

Safe Link, Roscommon's Domestic Abuse service, says there has been an increase of 35% in new clients and an increase of 50% in crisis calls to the helpline since the beginning of Covid 19.

It's one of the agencies involved in the Roscommon Child and Family Support Network (CFSN) which is launching a new Domestic Abuse resource Pack today,

The first of its kind in Ireland, the pack will assist professionals to support victims, by providing information on how to recognise domestic abuse, the different types of abuse and how to access supports.

It will also assist professionals to ask the right questions and direct to the most appropriate service.

One of the agencies involved in the network is An Garda Siochana, Castlerea Superintendent Goretti Sheridan says the groups are all there to help people with whatever support they need.
