Roscommon County Council have given the go-ahead for the conversion of accommodation

Roscommon area councillors have given the go-ahead for the conversion of some Traveller accommodation in Castlerea, Roscommon.

The changes relate to the conversion of four one bed semi-detached houses at Harristown into two five-bedroom family units.

They will remain as single-story dwellings and will allow for an increase to private open space.

Chief Executive of Roscommon County Council recommended the change so as to provide for changing needs of the community living on the site.
