Ireland West Airport at Knock says the majority of passengers in the airport today are returning home after Covid 19 restrictions.
The airport resumed flights this morning after 91 days with flights mainly through UK destinations.
Only intending passengers are allowed in the building and everyone over the age of thirteen has to wear a face covering.
Strict social distancing and sanitation measures are in place.
Marketing Manager at the airport, Donal Healy says the airport was busy with very few holidaymakers.
He says the airport has no responsibility for people arriving into the country in terms of self-isolating, but they are facilitating people with the government forms passengers are required to fill out for health authorities.
