Gardai suspect that four lambs stolen in south Longford last month may have been taken by boat.
Investigations are ongoing into the theft of the animals which are worth approximately 400 euro on a date between the 8th and 24th of August at Glenavoher Lanesboro.
Gardai believe because the field was fenced in but adjacent to the River Shannon the thieves may have taken the animals via the waterway.
