The Shannonside region is the least expensive place in the country to buy a home, according to a Daft.ie report for the third quarter of the year.
However, Longford and Monaghan have both seen sharp year-on-year increases in house prices.
Leitrim is the least expensive county in which to buy a home, with an average list price of just under 128-thousand euro, down 1.9% on last year.
While Longford and Roscommon have seen year-on-year increases in house prices, both remain in the bottom three least expensive counties.
Roscommon is the second least expensive county, with the average home costing close to 143-thousand euro, despite a 2% increase on last year.
Longford prices have seen a sharp 6.6% increase, though it is the third least expensive county with the average home costing just around 145-thousand 200 euro.
