Sinn Fein Justice spokesperson Martin Kenny says religious institutions will have to take some responsibility when it comes to making redress for the survivors of the mother and baby homes.
Commenting on the publication of the long awaited report this week the Leitrim TD says the institutions have dragged their heels in the past but that can't be allowed to happen on this occasion.
Deputy Kenny says people who suffered maltreatment in the homes have had to live their lives often on poor incomes and circumstances, and they deserve to see improvements immediately.
