The woman who died in the fatal road crash on the R392 between Ballymahon and Mullingar yesterday has been named locally as Catherine Duggan.
The 45-year-old mother of one, who was a native of Ballymahon, died when her car was in a collision with a truck at Glascarn, Rathconrath.
Gardaí are continuing their appeal for information on the incident which happened around lunchtime yesterday.

Ballymahon Councillor Pat O'Toole knew Catherine and has offered his sincere sympathies to her family and wide circle of friends.
