Funding of €150,000 has been welcomed for the outdoor swimming pool in Castlerea. The pool has proven popular with visitors across Roscommon and further afield in recent years. Roscommon County Council confirmed it was allocated the money at its recent 2024 budget meeting.
Local councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice has welcomed the funding announcement this week. Speaking to Shannonside News, Cllr Fitzmaurice said it's more good news for the facility:
