Local spokesperson calls for human rights to be considered in Covid inquiry

The HSE is urging people to remain vigilant and aware of the virus as Ireland's Covid inquiry is said to be submitted to Cabinet shortly.

The government's failure to collaborate with those directly impacted by the virus for the imminent Covid inquiry is a "disappointment."
That is the view of Longford-based spokesperson for Care Champions, Majella Beattie.
It comes as Covid outbreaks have been detected across the country. Whereas, visiting restrictions are still in place at Roscommon University Hospital.

Care Champions is an advocacy group for families and loved ones in nursing homes.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, representative Majella Beattie expressed her hopes for a human rights expert to be involved in the Covid inquiry:
