Bord na Mona and the ESB are being urged to provide the funding promised for projects under Just Transition in the Shannonside region.
Senators Eugene Murphy and Michael Carrigy both raised the issue of the Just Transition programme in the Seanad today, almost two years after the 'brown to green' strategy was first announced.
There is growing concern that projects which were to be supported locally by the semi-state companies are still waiting for funding to get underway, especially in Lanesboro and Ballyleague.
