Publicans in the Shannonside Northern Sound region are giving a broad welcome to the announcement that all pubs can re-open from September 21st. Guidelines

Publicans in the Shannonside Northern Sound region are giving a broad welcome to the announcement that all pubs can re-open from September 21st.

Guidelines will be issued for the so-called 'wet' pubs, they are likely to be similar to the ones open already - including keeping customer records, time slots, table service and no queuing at the bar.

There has been concern over easing of restrictions on pubs, particularly with the rise in cases nationally, and with the prospect of specific local restrictions in Dublin and Limerick if the rate of infection increases.
