Local Public Health Nurses urge new parents to reach out if they need help

Parents have been highlighting the added stress that the pandemic has added to pregnancy and parenthood over the past 14 months

Public Health Nurses in the Shannonside Northern Sound region are urging families to reach out if they need help during the pandemic.

Local nurses are highlighting the fact that the services they provide to the public such as early childhood healthcare, developmental checks, elder care and more are still being offered both in-person and online despite the Coronavirus pandemic.

Public Health Nurses are available to attend homes should the need arise and operate in full PPE in order to protect clients and families.

Families have been highlighting the difficulties they've faced over the last 14 months including lack of in-person supports, isolation from close family, and fears over pregnancy and Covid.
