The Minister of State at the Department of Health hopes he can deliver a secure and appropriate Cath Lab service for Sligo.
The coronary care centre which is run by a private provider at the Northwest facility will cease operations at the end of the month with patients then asked to travel to Galway for appointments.
Deputy Frank Feighan says he's currently working with the consultants at the hospital to find the best solution and says a national cardiology review is currently in its final stages.
