The local men will raise money for Athlone and Midlands Samaritans as part of the fundraising event.

A Tarmonbarry woman is appealing to people across the Shannonside Northern Sound region that may be feeling suicidal to reach out to the Samaritans.

Liz Coffey has lost two brothers to suicide, Willie Casey died 32 years ago and Paddy died in January 2020 - the same month as Frankie Lane from Kenagh.

Liz's husband Eddie and Frank's brother in law Johnny Rhatigan have gone from Beauty to Beast over the last 252 days to raise funds for the Athlone and Midlands Samaritans.
