A local hotel group has seen a major multimillion euro loss to revenue during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Hodson Bay Hotel Group operate the Hodson Bay Hotel and the Sheraton Hotel in Westmeath and the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill.
New accounts from the company show a drop in revenue of approximately 20 million euro over the course of the coronavirus crisis.

Various lockdowns and travel bans resulted in lower footfall to the company's hotels over the two years.
According to the Irish Independent today, the hospitality groups management has praised government's Covid-19 wage support scheme for keeping doors open in 2020 and 2021.
