Local GP urges concerned parents to read HSE advice on teen Covid vaccinations

Parents who have questions or concerns over vaccinating their children are being asked to examine National Immunisation Advisory Committee advice.

A Castlerea GP says she's concerned about what impact a new mutation of Covid could have on younger children.

Dr Madeline Ni Dalaigh says she's glad to hear about the vaccination portal opening for young teenagers and measures for the 12 to 15-year-olds from next week.

The GP says while many parents will likely have concerns about vaccinations for their children they should read all the HSE and NIAC advice available about it.
