Local Gardaí are urging the public to drive with increased care in the run up to Christmas.
The festive season sees spikes each year in road fatalities, motoring offences and drink driving incidents.
Longford roads policing unit is warning that Gardaí will be keeping a close eye on the roads this Christmas for those driving dangerously or illegally.

Earlier this week, Longford Gardaí stopped and seized a vehicle on the Market Square in the town.
The driver was found to be an unaccompanied leaner driver with no L plates displayed on the car.
Speaking to Shannonside FM, AA Ireland spokesperson Anna Cullen says the rules of the road do not change just because its Christmas.
