Local Gardaí urge motorists to check tyres following recent traffic stop

The Roscommon Roads Policing Unit recently stopped a driver for using a phone behind the wheel of their car.

On further inspection of the vehicle, they spotted that the tyres were dangerously worn. A Fixed Charge Notice was issued to the driver and the car grounded until the tyres were replaced. Gardaí are reminding motorists to ensure they have the correct tyres whilst driving.
