The Granard man is focusing his campaign around healthcare and advocating for more disability supports in the region. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, he highlighted that the Midlands North-West region has the highest incidence rate of Multiple Sclerosis in the country, at 1 in 600. Having been diagnosed with Primary progressive multiple sclerosis himself, Stephen Garland expressed his support for the legalisation of the medicinal use of cannabis in Ireland to help those who need it:
