A local election candidate in North Longford is calling for the re-opening of the Citizens Information office in Granard.
The office was shut during Covid and was not reopened following lockdowns, with the main county office remaining at the Longford Shopping Centre. Marett Smith is seeking a seat in the Granard LEA for Fianna Fail and believes the growing nature of Granard as a town would be benefited by the service reopening.
