A Roscommon disability campaigner is calling for penalty points to be issued to motorists who park in disabled parking bays. It comes after Gardaí on patrol in Roscommon town last week discovered a jeep and a trailer parked over two blue parking spaces.
The driver was issued a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice. Disability campaigner from Co. Roscommon, Michael Treacy, says the punishment needs to be stronger:
