Local counties get funding of €100,000's under Creative Ireland programme

Hundreds of thousands of euro in funding has been allocated to the Shannonside region under the Creative Ireland programme.

The funding which was announced by Arts Minster Catherine Martin will allow local authorities to deliver a number of creative projects and events in their area.

Community groups, individuals, artistic and creative practitioners, event organisers and those involved in creative projects will benefit from the support.

All five counties in the region have been allocated a sum of over 175,000 euro.
