Longford County Council is perfectly placed to help other local authorities in the provision on Skating Infrastructure. That's according to Councillor Peggy Nolan who believes the decade long campaign to build a local skate park has imparted important lessons. The new park located at the former Longford Greyhound Track is due to be completed this week following months of construction.
This week saw Roscommon County Council seek Part 8 planning permission for the creation of two public parks, both including skating infrastructure. Councillor Nolan, who has championed the skate park for the last number of years, says they are ready and willing to pass on their expertise:
