Local councillor provides update regarding accommodation for refugees in Drumshanbo

The Lough Allen Hotel has accommodated around 170 Ukrainians for over two years, but they’ve been told to leave by the end of this month.

A local councillor has confirmed that most Ukranian refugees in Drumshanbo have found alternative accommodation ahead of the Lough Allen Hotel closing as a centre for refugees. The Hotel has been accommodating 170 people for over two years.

But they were told around 2 weeks they would have to leave at the end of this month. Fine Gael Councillor Enda McGloin is appealing to anyone in the Drumshanbo area who may have vacant accommodation to come forward and help:
