A local county council has been recognised for its outstanding workplace standards at the Annual All-Ireland Occupational Safety Awards.
Longford County Council won the Local Authority / Council Award at the ceremony which took place earlier in October in the Great Southern Hotel, Killarney.
The Council was also recognised as a Consistent High Achiever at the awards which is run by the National Irish Safety Organisation in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Safety Group.
