Eleven cyclists from South Roscommon are finalising their preparations for a 600 kilometer cycle from Mizen to Malin head this week.

The Lecarrow Lazers Cycling club remembers local man Darragh Kenny who died suddenly from cardiac arrest in 2013 at the age of 28.

Each year the club raises funds for heart charity Croi, with a cycle but this year it's is also raising funds for the Lough Ree Access For All boat based in Ballyleague, Lanesboro.

The cycle will begin on Wednesday and can be followed online on Darragh Kenny Memorial Fund on facebook until it finishes on Saturday.

Darragh's sister Sarah Kenny says it's a great legacy to have his life remembered by supporting two charities.
