Good news for passengers.

You'll no longer have to empty your liquids and separate electronics at Knock Airport, due to an investment in technology.

It's due to a 17 million euro investment in Ireland's regional airports by the government.

Shannon, Donegal and Kerry airports already benefit from the technology - but Dublin has yet to change its rules on liquids and electronics.

Minister of State Jack Chambers, says today's funding announcement will make a real difference.

Ireland West Airport today welcomes the announcement of funding today  of €5,000,541 towards Capital expenditure  projects, from the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport.

The funding is provided to support critical Safety and Security Projects under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025
