Less than half of designated Longford premises 'under construction' as part of NBI rollout

Under half of all premises which will be served by the National Broadband plan in County Longford are currently 'under construction'.

According to details released to Longford-Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke over 3,000 premises are under construction in County Longford as part of the NBI.

The figure is less than half of the 8,602 premises in the Intervention or AMBER area of the National Broadband Plan which are designated to be served as part of the multi billion euro plan.

In County Longford 8 Broadband Connection Points have been installed to date and 7 schools have been installed by NBI to date for educational access.
