Leitrim hotelier welcomes major investment in River Shannon tourism potential

Leitrim hotelier Joe Dolan says the huge investment launched today in visitor facilities on and beside the River Shannon will encourage major private investment as well.

The Leitrim man, who is a member of the board of Tourism Ireland and a past president of the Irish Hotels Federation, says the plan has huge potential to transform the areas along the waterway not only for tourists, but also for people who live in the counties.

He says the infrastructure to be built will attract other private developers as a natural progression, and this has already been seen on other parts along the waterway…
