Leitrim had the highest planning approval rate in the country in 2020 according to a new report.
The Office of the Planning Regulator has revealed that 96.6 percent of planning submissions were approved in the county last year.
Approval rates in Longford, Cavan and Monaghan were well above the national average with planning granted to over 90 percent of applicants.

Roscommon had the highest number of invalid planning requests in the Shannonside region with a little over 80 per cent of submissions accepted in the county.
Almost half of planning applications in Monaghan were appealed and overturned in 2020.
12 applications were appealed in Leitrim, that's an increase of 9 since 2019.
