Leitrim doctor says fourth vaccine booster can't be ruled out

In December, Israel approved a fourth dose for those with compromised immune systems.

A senior medical officer in the region says a fourth dose of the Covid vaccine may be offered to the public in time.

Dr. Cathriona Walsh believes it's not possible to say for certain if an additional booster will be required to protect against further variants.

She says it depends on how long antibodies last for from the third booster.

Dr. Walsh believes a successful booster campaign in Ireland is the reason behind milder omicron symptoms.

Speaking on Let's Talk the Leitrim based doctor says time will tell whether or not a fourth dose will be required.
