Leitrim County Council is one of three local authorities taking part in a special initiative in Dublin today aimed at attracting people to live in the region.
'Northwest in the city' is a collaboration between councils and key agencies like IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the Western Development Commission aimed at attracting career-driven professionals based in Dublin to consider moving for a better work life balance in the Northwest.
The councils and agencies have also teamed up with some of the biggest regional employers from the biomedical, technology, and International Financial services sectors, among others.
The event takes place in the Westbury Hotel today and local authorities from Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal will be on hand to offer practical advice on relocating to the region.
